About Isabella

Driver:

Isabella Rapezzi Dahl

My name is Isabella and I was born in Florence, Italy. I am half Italian and half Swedish and I am a gokart driver. I inherited an extraordinary passion for motorsport from my dad and my mom who thought well of
introducing me to the gokart world after I stole my dad’s tractor to ride in the garden when I was 3 years old.

  • In 2017 I started driving in the Cadetti category,
  • and in 2018 i did my debute in competing.
  • At the end of 2019 I moved to the Formula Micro category where I competed some races in the regional championship.
  • In 2020 I moved up from Micro to Mini by competing in the regional championship.
  • I made the biggest leap In 2022 I drove in Formula Mini in the Middle Sweden’s championship where I ended upp top 5 overall. The same season I were crowned district champion in Formula Mini. I also
tested J60 category,I raced in some SKCC championship in the south of Sweden and ended the season introducing myself in the category OKJ. Also I joined Ward Racing Team, a great opportunity for me to grow as a female driver.
  • 2023 I level upp and drove my first season in OKJ and officially left the small karts. It was also my debut in international racing, driving my first Trofeo delle Industrie in Lonato, Italy. I drove again the Middle Sweden’s championship (MKR serie), becaming vice champion. I drove also some races in J125 and got a second place in the district championship as well.
  • 2024 season was even more international: I drove Trofeo Margutti and Trofeo delle Industrie and training during winter in north of Italy. The season was rich of races, driving on very technical tracks in south of Sweden in OKJ in SKCC and MKR serie and racing in the entire Rotax Max Challenge in Junior category. Got an amazing 8th place overall in the whole Sweden on a total of 52 drivers. I am very proud of that. Got a third place in the district champi0nship in Rotax Jr. as well.
  • 2025 will be a real challenge cause I am going to drive in the CIK in a bigger category, the senior OKN. It is going to be exciting and very engaging for me, my team and my family. We will be around Italy from April to October and I am really looking forward to it. I also hope to get the chance to participate in the FIA Karting Academy Trophy 2025 as I applied as female driver. And why not, maybe get my dream come true and be selected to take part in to the World Cup Arrive & Drive in Malaysia.

"Girls in karting are such an important part of the motorsports world, and I'm incredibly proud to be a part of it!"

More about

Me and my driving

My gokart is a TonyKart and I have a Ward prepped engine. When I’m not competing I am training a lot, the whole family works hard to prepare for the races and we give our best, the season is quite short in Sweden, but during winter I train at the International Circuit of South Garda and Franciacorta. I have been training free fall parachuting in the wind tunnel.

One of my best qualities is that I never give up. I work consistently to grow as a go-kart driver and continue to be a faithful ambassador for the principle of "fair racing." I see myself as a female driver who can inspire other girls to take up this sport".

I am 14 years old and this season I have the best shot to step up in my driving career, aiming also to test drive Formula F4 cars.
